I'm really excited to start the weekend! I'm sure you're thinking, Well duh. Everyone likes weekends. But this one is different. Tomorrow starts the Southern MN FASD Family Retreat. I don't know how many years we've been meeting annually...maybe 4-5?
The kids look forward to this so much. It's funny. Our kids have memory deficits and have behavior problems, social skills are lacking. But they remember this annual weekend. That shows you how important and fun this is for them. Somehow it makes it into their long term memory banks. And that's a good thing.
It feels great for parents too, because everyone else is just like our family. No 'splainin to do. No embarrassment over rages, silly behaviors, awkward moments. It's all cool.
Oh yah, we are going to be normal this weekend!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend! I know you all have a wonderful time at this event. I can easily imagine the excitement on Andrew's face as he remembers last year and his interaction with Pete, the magician! That was so much fun! I'm sure we'll see pictures of something exciting!
